Sleep Study

Last night I had my second sleep study in five weeks. Now I went to the neurologist at the beginning of December for follow up care for my migraines. She took one look at my throat, listened to my history, lack of decent sleep, and thinks I have sleep apnea. The first study was ok, I did my normal 4-5 wake ups but the tech never came into put the CPAP on me. 2 weeks ago the neurologist called and requested a second sleep study to be done with a CPAP machine. I have been filled with lots of dread for the past two weeks. How is this going to affect Brian's sleep, my sleep, how comfortable will it be? Lots of questions. So last night I got some more answers. I don't like the mask. It is uncomfortable. My mouth is dry. The mask sat over my nose and mouth but didn't allow for mouth breathing. The machine was actually pretty quiet, kinda a low hum. One thing the technician told me last night is "sleep apnea untreated puts people at a higher risk for stroke and heart attack".
Now I am sharing a picture so y'all can see how I looked all hooked up with the CPAP and all the monitor wires.

I go back to the doctor on Feb 26th to discuss the results and see if I get a CPAP or if there is another alternative.

Oh poor Dez, I hope they find a way to help!

Mission Statement

I would like our home to be clutter-free, inviting and peaceful. My goal is to decide which tasks I need to do or delegate each day so we can maintain a better, more organized lifestyle. My goals also include providing an environment where my children can learn to be productive and Godly people. I want my family and others to know that this house is one where they can be free to live simply, love deeply and laugh abundantly. I want to be able to invite friends over without having to clean up for three days beforehand.
