Advent Day 5

I will bless you...and you will be a blessing to others. Genesis 12:2

God will bless me.  I need to slow down and accept His blessings so that I can bless others.  If I don't accept His blessings by spending time with him I become burnt out and overwhelmed.

During this busy holiday season i am talking time with my family,  blessing them and myself.   In order to do that I am also making my own devotion time an absolute priority.

Advent Day 4

God loves me so much that He sent His Son to find me.  Christ came to earth to get us.  Love is searching for someone.  Christ sought out humankind.  Do I love Him enough to seek him?

Every stress/trouble Satan throws at me is just another opportunity to seek God and His ark of protection. Just like God providing the instructions for the ark to Noah, He has provided instructions for my own personal ark.

God's love is utterly amazing and beyond my sinful mind's comprehension.

Thank you God for Your mercy and gift of love.

Traditions

We have many holiday traditions.

The Christmas tree goes up the weekend after Thanksgiving.
We do mini stockings filled with candy for the days leading up to Christmas.
We extend the season until January 6th.
This year we are reading "Unwrapping the Greatest Gift: A Family Celebration of Christmas" As I read the kids color their ornament.
We go see Christmas lights as a family.
We make cookies and candies.
We give new pj's on Christmas eve.
The kids get three gifts on Christmas morning to help remember the three gifts brought by the wise men.
Traditions to bring joy and remeberance to the season welcoming in the birth of our Savior.

Advent Day 3

As we move through the season,  I am reminded that God is seeking me more than I am seeking Him.  Like Adam and Eve often I am hiding from him.  He knows where I am, may I open my heart so that I stop hiding and let Him live in Me.

Advent day 2

"No matter your story before this is hope beginning now: yoy were formed by love. ..for love." THE GREATEST GIFT: UNWRAPPINH THE LOVE OF CHRISTMAS ANN VOSKAMP

No matter what my past God loves me.  Every bad thing is forgiven and wiped away if I ask for forgiveness and accept the gift He gives.

I need to follow His example and wipe the slate clean on those who have wronged me.

Mission Statement

I would like our home to be clutter-free, inviting and peaceful. My goal is to decide which tasks I need to do or delegate each day so we can maintain a better, more organized lifestyle. My goals also include providing an environment where my children can learn to be productive and Godly people. I want my family and others to know that this house is one where they can be free to live simply, love deeply and laugh abundantly. I want to be able to invite friends over without having to clean up for three days beforehand.
