my baby boy

Seven years have come and gone so quickly. Reuben my surprise baby boy. You came into this world with such a scare. Though 9 pounds 8 ounces and 20.75 inches long with good 9/9 apgars, you turned blue and were rushed off to NICU with nothing more than a quick look. I didn't get to hold you for 5 long hours. Your newborn time was so different, being in the NICU and not able to hold you all the time was so hard on me and I think you too. You have more than made up for it...You are my cuddly child, my child that loves to hold me and love me all day and night. The NICU staff all commented on the "giant" baby in NICU because you were more than double a lot of the babies there and sometimes triple. Granny was so excited to see you and love you. She would be so proud of you and the young boy you are turning into.

Reuben I love your bright smile and kind heart. Happy Birthday!!! I love you with all my heart. You will always be my baby boy. No one will ever have that spot.

May you follow God in all you do and keep your eyes on Him this year.

I just blogged about my son's birth too! He was 10 lbs 11 oz and was wisked away to ICU without me holding him. I didn't get to until he was about 9 hours old. Nursing was hell after that because the nurses had given him a bottle and he chugged it.
He was cuddly right up to middle school, then I had to duck when dropping him off places...
Happy Birthday to Rueben!

Happy Birthday Reuben! :)

Mission Statement

I would like our home to be clutter-free, inviting and peaceful. My goal is to decide which tasks I need to do or delegate each day so we can maintain a better, more organized lifestyle. My goals also include providing an environment where my children can learn to be productive and Godly people. I want my family and others to know that this house is one where they can be free to live simply, love deeply and laugh abundantly. I want to be able to invite friends over without having to clean up for three days beforehand.
