School Has Begun

Reuben is in Kindergarten. Caleb is in second grade. Leo is in fourth grade. Today was a crazy first day but we talked about shapes, spelling words, compound words, nouns and pronouns, how special we are and began a book ALL ABOUT ME, seasons, scientific logs, force, went for a walk to the construction site around the corner, gathered leaves, saw a bull dozer, counted beans by twos, fives and tens, and even made brownies. Reuben's letter of the week is B. This is going to be a good year. Tuesday we are going to story time at Barnes and Noble and will do school during the girls nap time in the afternoon. The boys are keeping writing journals, spelling dictionaries, science logs, reading logs and math journals of random math problems.

That sounds like a very busy day!! I wouldn't know where to begin with homeschooling. I wish I did, but man, it sounds overwhelming to me. It does sound like a fun day with the kids.

Holy crumb cakes I'm tired just reading about your day!

Mission Statement

I would like our home to be clutter-free, inviting and peaceful. My goal is to decide which tasks I need to do or delegate each day so we can maintain a better, more organized lifestyle. My goals also include providing an environment where my children can learn to be productive and Godly people. I want my family and others to know that this house is one where they can be free to live simply, love deeply and laugh abundantly. I want to be able to invite friends over without having to clean up for three days beforehand.
