Anneliese gave us a scare last night. I think it's payback for all the times I ran my mom to the ER with a concussion or needing stitches. We were outside playing and three of the girls were climbing on a rock. Anneliese lost her balance and fell forward landing on her right side of her head and face. She lost consciousness for about 30-60 seconds, not breathing in that time. I was holding her on my lap trying to get her to breathe and open her eyes. Nique and Brian came running and I called 911. The ambulance, fire department and police all came out. The paramedics came in a separate vehicle. She was transported to the hospital by ambulance on a back board. It took her nearly 45 minutes to say even a word and then didn't say anything else for another hour. The CT scan came back completely clear. But she was admitted for observation and given fluids for the night. Finally after about midnight she started to get talkative and move around. The hospital staff was AWESOME. They give pediatric patients a little goody bag to make their stay a little easier. We were released this morning. She is back to herself. Now we are to try and keep her from reinjuring her head. Fun to do with a 2 year old. God really answers prayers. I am grateful that Nique was here as she was able to take care of the other kids while Brian was up at the hospital with me til we were admitted.
Prior to being outside, I was taking pictures of all 4 of the girls in their new Fall dresses made by Becky.

oh dear that is scary when they do things like that. I am so glad she's alright and that you had someone there to help out. please kiss her for me and let her know Miss Drea said NEVER do that again! :) Hugs to you and Brian too - the girls look great in the dresses.
I am so glad that she is okay. Thinking about it makes me remember how helpless I have felt each time Megan has passed out. Their little lives truly are precious. Rejoicing with you that she is back to being her beautiful, healthy self.
Oh my, that must have been beyond scary. I'm so sorry that happened to her, but am so happy that she's okay now. Did they say what the reason was that she wasn't talking? Was it a concussion?
She is going awesome. It was definitely a concussion.
