Life is so short

Every day I am reminded just how short life is. This week we got a call at 1 am Wednesday morning, it was one of our dear friends crying uncontrollably. All I could understand was "died" Panic rushed through my body as her husband had just returned to Iraq on Sunday. When she was able to calm down enough to tell me, her close friend and fellow Army medic, Jessica, had died from wounds suffered from an IED. Three weeks ago, Jessica had suffered bruises and scratches in a similar incident. Jessica was 24. As a military spouse this is our gratest fear and have seen so many friends injured and lives lost. I salute our voluntary military members who willing join and give their lives so that we live in freedom. This week I am keeping Jessica's friends and family in my prayers as they begin to grieve the loss of a friend, sister and daughter. God Bless our Military and those that love them.

I am so glad that you are the kind of friend that we all know we can call during those early morning hours when we need some comforting words.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of Jessica's family and friends.

Mission Statement

I would like our home to be clutter-free, inviting and peaceful. My goal is to decide which tasks I need to do or delegate each day so we can maintain a better, more organized lifestyle. My goals also include providing an environment where my children can learn to be productive and Godly people. I want my family and others to know that this house is one where they can be free to live simply, love deeply and laugh abundantly. I want to be able to invite friends over without having to clean up for three days beforehand.
