more see you next times

Having dinner with friends knowing this is the last time we will see each other for a while. I know as Christians we have the HOPE of eternity

One week

I sit here among boxes and chaos. Oh how I dislike moving. The stress of not knowing where we are going to live on the other end. For so many moves it's been easy, we would live in military housing but that's not an option this time. I am excited to be moving closer to my nephew and near our best friends.

Just give me the strength to get through the next 2 weeks.

Just what I needed

Zephaniah 3:17 The LORD your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves.
He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.”

With all that is happening with the move, retirement, new job and house hunting, I needed the reminder that God is with me. I know He's there but often I forget.

God is good ALL the time

Following God's leading

We put in an offer on a house this week. it was a rent to own opportunity. The sellers countered with many things we just don't feel we can or should have to meet. One of them was a "monthly inspection" of the house to make sure it was in compliance with the lease agreement. I am sorry I have lived over half my life in military housing and NEVER had to have monthly housing inspections. We were "subject" to them at anytime but we never had them. They also wanted ALOT more money than we can come up with at this time.

Guess this isn't the house for us.

Our newest adventure

In just over three weeks we will be moving across country. The time has come for us to return to civilian life. Brian has taken a job running a vacuum store in Northern Utah. I will be continuing to go to school once return to Utah, which is a hurdle in and of itself. I have to take a math placement test or retake a math class that I took and scored a great grade in 15 years ago. ARG

Next week is campmeeting for SNEC. I am looking forward to the spiritual renewal.

Happy Sabbath

A day of rest, set aside from the remainder of the week, A day to remember creation.

I love the sound of resting in the Lord.

All the joys and love shared with fellow believers.

Mission Statement

I would like our home to be clutter-free, inviting and peaceful. My goal is to decide which tasks I need to do or delegate each day so we can maintain a better, more organized lifestyle. My goals also include providing an environment where my children can learn to be productive and Godly people. I want my family and others to know that this house is one where they can be free to live simply, love deeply and laugh abundantly. I want to be able to invite friends over without having to clean up for three days beforehand.
