Memorial Day 2011

This morning we got up and went to a local parade. The parade was rather small but so suiting for today. We were standing at the stopping point where there is a small Veteran memorial. There was a beautiful ceremony honoring those that have served both survivors and ones who have died.

One speaker spoke of the red poppy and why it's the symbol of Veterans, a field in Belgium that serves as a cemetary and red poppies grow. One speaker talked about his brother who died in Vietnam.

The local elementary school had a classroom choir sing the National Anthem. There was a 21 gun salute followed by Taps. It is so poignant to remember those who have died while wearing the uniform and those who have never returned home still MIA or POW

May God bless America today and always!

Its been a long time

Brian has retired, a new journey is upon us. Not sure yet what is coming. So far no job in MA and the only job possibility will take us back to UT. We are continuing to look for work here in MA. Brian has begun the VA disability paperwork. I finished my Certificate Program for Healthcare Coding and Billing.

Now I can read books again for pleasure and not for school.

Mission Statement

I would like our home to be clutter-free, inviting and peaceful. My goal is to decide which tasks I need to do or delegate each day so we can maintain a better, more organized lifestyle. My goals also include providing an environment where my children can learn to be productive and Godly people. I want my family and others to know that this house is one where they can be free to live simply, love deeply and laugh abundantly. I want to be able to invite friends over without having to clean up for three days beforehand.
